Defining limits of "you", "consciousness"

 Defining limits of "you", "consciousness"

  • Why is it that traditionally our sense of self is determined by the notion of personal space set in childhood? When in reality, whatever we set affects us, which means we are whatever we sense.
  • How you define yourself, represents the boundaries you set
  • You are a part of your surroundings (envionrment), you are a part of your surroundings not apart from it - recognize this and you'll want to change your surroundings after knowing that better is possible.
    • Don't judge yourself as an individual, instead see yourself as a part of your enviornment to change your enviornment. It does not make sense to be happy in a tortourous enviornment. It's like a torturer cutting off your fingers and blaming you for being unhappy.
      • Maybe not to that degree, but life is still torture, the level depeneds on how much you are willing to tolerate.
  • What is control and define who you are and why does it stop when your skin reaches the air why can't you be a part of the air like you are a part of the internal organs? Because we are what we are affected by, we our our bodies and we are what we sense.
  • If you define you as your brain
    • Think of the brain is a thought-generator and environment plays a role in it too - why do you think people go to libraries to generate thoughts of intellectuality?
  • are we our feelings? are we the ideas that we think (Focus on)?
  • Are your thoughts truly yours? What makes them yours?
    • are all thoughts involuntary?
  • When defining what "we" are
    • We must consider how our experiences affect our human specific senses - this is called science, we are not ideas, we are human beings, we are not unconditional morality (as seen by our thinking behavior and everyday crime actions), we are human beings, therefore we need goals that tend to our desires.
  • When someoene says "you" need to change your attitude, I ask myself: "what does "you" even mean?" Because "you" are made up of different parts and personalities and many things affect that personaliy that you are showing at the moment.

Provoking Questions:

  • How to love someone?
  • What does it mean to “be” (sustain) a human being?

This proves that is all comes back to the basics: boundaries, definitions, legal definitions, personal space, etc.
