If you truly believe and trust the process, no - just kidding. Rather, if you truly understand how, not what, you will understand how to reach the said thought.
For example, I wouldn't feel bad forgetting how to apply the quadratic formula whilst I was using it, because I would have understood how to use it; Rather what makes me sad is that I lost the identification of a new discovery all because I was practicing morals...
